Clam-shell throne!

Man, keeping up on a weekly post for the blog is tough. I think I'm going to resolve to do a post every other week. That's not bad, right?

So, here's what's been keeping me busy lately...

I'm welding a clam shell throne, which you can see the start of in the pictures above and below. This is going to be at the center of my show in march. In front of the chair will be a table abundant with Mermaid Food. The whole show will be an installation. So, I'm making furniture and parts that all depict a Sea Queen's tea parlor.

Over the past 6 months, I've been using the Jon and Mary Shirley scholarship I got from Pratt to learn how to weld. It's been changing the way I make. Now I'm able to build structures that support all the delicate materials that I typically use.
Urban Craft Uprising is right around the corner!
I've been making a ton of new pieces to be at the show.

For you guys that are too far to make it to the Urban Craft Uprising in Seattle, I'm working on getting my jewels online so that they're available for purchase. I'll post more later!
